Google for India 2024: New Updates for Gemini Live, GPay, and AI Overviews

The Google for India 2024, which took place in the first week of October discussed the potential of the infusion of AI in its upcoming projects. The event focused on the future of AI in the Indian tech ecosystem and building an AI-based workforce to conduct real-life tasks. The prime motive is simple yet exhilarating; how to extend AI to every citizen of India.

Observing India emerging as a powerhouse in the technology sector across the globe, Google increased its product and service development through India, while simultaneously handing significant support in contributing to the tech infrastructure of the country. This empowerment ultimately extends the reach to the country’s citizens, thus reinforcing businesses in performing functions effectively.

Google’s most potent AI platform Gemini will be available in Hindi and other Indian languages, thus making information accessible to every regional citizen. Moreover, the expansion of Gemini Live will allow Gemini mobile conversation to the users. The integration of AI in Google search will provide information to the users in their regional languages, enabling a more seamless and personalized experience.

The Gemini model will be integrated with Google Lens and will extend its analysis for the videos. The users will be able to search for a video with Google Lens and obtain AI-reviewed answers for the diverse elements of motion graphics.

The AI model will also exhibit its potential within Google Maps. It will work on analyzing and identifying the locations through image uploads and provide information. The new updates would also refine the existing services and share a detailed summary and review of the searched locations. The AI will also provide suggestions for the specific spots where the user can obtain the services. Google also announced the inclusion of weather-related updates that can notify users of any modifications to the route.

However, to increase credit accessibility and obtain loans backed by gold, the tech giant’s banking platform, Google Pay, has teamed with Muthoot Finance. Additionally, Gemini could be included on the site to help consumers with financial concerns. Additional features added to Google Play Protect and Google Skills House will allow users to learn programs and be protected from online fraud, respectively.
