Reliance Brand, a subsidiary of Reliance Industries retail arm Reliance Retail Ventures, is in talks to buy Alia Bhatt’s child wear brand, Ed-a-mamma, for around 300–350 crores.
They’re in final addresses and will subscribe the agreement within the coming 10 days. Two industry executives told that Ed-a-mamma is valued at 150 crore.
Ed-a-mamma brand was started in 2020 and sells its products online on Amazon, Myntra, FirstCry, etc. After that, they launched an apparel line for babies, sleep suits and bodysuits.
Alia Bhatt says about her brand that “Ed-a-mamma combines two things I care deeply about: Our planet and children.”
Last time, Alia Bhatt said to PTI about her unborn plans that” I would like to expand further into the child member. I would like to indeed add further perpendicular orders in and around the space of family care.
Also, the brand is further about liar to help children understand the earth more and make them more sensitive about the same.”
Alia Bhatt tweeted for her Ed-a-mamma Brand, “presenting nature-inspired clothes for little planeteers! Our Ed-a-mamma babywear is made from the softest fabrics and is completely plastic-free for your little one.” With the preface of her sprat- wearing brand, she developed a new personality as a businesswoman. Many other actors have also been spotted advertising her company.
After Mothercare, Ed-a-mamma will become the new addition to the Reliance child wear portfolio. Reliance Brand has partnerships with several international brands, such as Jimmy Choo, Dune, Hamleys, and Armani Exchange.
On July 17, 2023, the share price of Reliance Industries was trading 2.13% higher at Rs. 2799.15 per share. This year, this stock has gained 8.67%.
